Five Inspiring Emails Worth Getting Every Day
Most days you’ll find me dodging a list - hitting unsubscribe on party invites from my underground days and the MoveOn.org petitions that just won’t quit.
However, there are a few bright spots I look forward to in my inbox.
I subscribe to the following daily emails on purpose, and recommend them to friends looking to add perspective and positivity to their morning:
1 - TUT - Notes from the Universe
TUT was recommended to me by a former boss and mentor, right as I was returning from a transformational emotional intelligence training.
Go to the site. Type in your first and last name. Enter your life goals.
Each day you’ll receive a cleverly encouraging note, from the Universe. Reminding you of your power, your worth, and the positive energy available to propel you in the right direction.
Seth is a marketing expert I’ve been following for years, but his daily blogs are much more than business and branding advice. They touch on the importance of authenticity and mindfulness in a world that often encourages a race to the bottom.
3 - DailyOM
I seldom have the time to read each one, but occasionally there’s a headline from DailyOM that really catches me. And usually it’s right on time. Practicing Nonattachment and Letting Yourself Be Seen are just a few inspirations that hit subscribers' inboxes last week.
4 - Gratefulness.io
Sign up in two seconds for this free service that sends you a text on the daily. The question is always the same:
“What are you grateful for today?”
The cool thing about Gratefulness.io is that it archives your responses and sends you a weekly email summary of all the things you said you were grateful for. Technology that encourages any kind of gratitude practice seems like solid step into the future.
“Your smart, good looking friend that sends you an email each morning with all the tech and business news you need to know for the day.”
